This month's meeting will focus on school accommodations and IEP/504 plans. We hope that many of you will come prepared to share ideas and communication techniques that have helped you and your child within the school setting. We will briefly review a program that TSAGW has recently produced on the subject, and then spend the majority of our time focusing on what works for our individual kids.   We especially invite any educators or parents of older ( college-aged) children to participate in this discussion.

The second half of this month's meeting will provide parents with an opportunity to share current problems and gain support and information from the group in traditional " support group " style.  As parents of children struggling with disabilities, Alicia and I agree that this is a very important and powerful part of what we would like to offer to parents involved in this group.   If the group is large enough, we will divide into small groups based on similar diagnoses/ problems to allow the opportunity for everyone who wishes to participate fully.

The meeting will be held at my home : 14925 Old York Road in Phoenix MD.
Our drive is directly across from Stockton Road down a long lane.  Our house is the first on the right ( with a red door).  Currently our lane is horribly potholed by the blizzards and plows, so please drive carefully and slowly ( and leave your Lamborghinis at home!)
Please contact me or Alica with any questions or suggestions for this or future meetings (or just for support on a bad day if you need it!) .

Please let us know if we can expect you.  As always, if you know a family who might benefit from this group in any way- please pass this information along to them!  Professionals and educators are always welcome to join us as well!
